FIH: Poland and Spain to host 2023-24 FIH Hockey Nations Cups


The Worldwide Hockey Federation (FIH) is delighted to announce that Poland and Spain will host the second version of the FIH Hockey Nations Cup in 2024. The winners will be a part of the 2024-25 FIH Hockey Professional League season.

Town of Gniezno, Poland, will host the lads’s occasion which can contain among the greatest groups on this planet: Poland, Korea, Malaysia, France, South Africa, Pakistan, Canada, Austria and – because the workforce relegated from the 2022-23 FIH Hockey Professional League season – New Zealand.

Since, on the idea of the FIH World Rankings, the Polish workforce had not certified for this FIH Hockey Nations Cup, the event will exceptionally be performed with 9 groups. It can run from 31 Could to 9 June 2024.

Gniezno is not any stranger to worldwide tournaments as they hosted the Hockey Collection Open in 2018 and the EuroHockey Championship II in 2021.

The ladies’s occasion will happen in Spain from 3 to 9 June 2024. Town shall be introduced at a later stage.

The spectacular line-up contains Spain, Japan, Korea, Eire, Chile, Canada, Italy and New Zealand.

The FIH Hockey Nations Cup was launched in 2021 with the goal of providing a top-level competitors to the best-ranked groups not collaborating within the FIH Hockey Professional League and giving the successful workforce the choice to be promoted to the FIH Hockey Professional League the following season, exactly.

India (ladies) and South Africa (males) received the primary version of the FIH Hockey Nations Cup in 2022.
