Paris 2024 chief Tony Estanguet says the Video games will protected by an “unprecedented” safety operation, and that preparations are “in good condition”.
However with 100 days till the beginning of the Olympics, he stated organisers will “hold some humility, as a result of we all know in this sort of occasion something can occur within the final stretch”.
Estanguet added he was “very happy with the place we stand at this second”.
He instructed BBC Sport: “My message is you may believe with this occasion.”
Amid mounting issues over security, Estanguet stated “I wish to reassure that it is non-negotiable. Safety is the precedence.”
“It is the largest occasion that France has ever organised, and we wish to showcase the perfect of France. So undoubtedly we’re decided to be prepared.
“We’re trying ahead to welcoming the world in Paris.”
“After I mentioned this with [London 2012 chief] Seb Coe, he instructed me…within the final 100 days, there can be extra criticism, extra folks fearful. It is precisely what is going on. My function is to stay calm, stay targeted on what is essential to ship.
“The venues are prepared, the funds is balanced. We now have superb ticket gross sales, the extent of ambition could be very excessive.”
